Jon Willard Croy was born July 26th, 1940 in Cogar, OK the son of Willard and Ruby Croy. He completed this life on May 9th, 2021. His family moved to Oklahoma City when he was 6 years old and attended Capitol Hill High school, graduating in 1959. Jon went on to receive an Associate’s Degree in Electronics from OSU Tech in 1964. In 1966 he met the love of his life Carolyn “Kay” Self. They were later married in 1969. 

Jon had an entrepreneurial spirit and In 1966 co-founded C&M Products, a small service and replacement HVAC parts business. He started selling, not only in Oklahoma, but across the country and in 1984 turned C&M into CMP Corporation. CMP continued to grow and became the largest independent compressor parts business internationally. 

He was very civic minded. He first joined Del City’s Board of Adjustments in 1973. In 1977 he joined the Del City Chamber of Commerce and Planning Commission and in 1979 was presented with the first leadership award from the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a charter member of the Del City Historical Society and inducted into the Del City Hall of Fame in 1985. He served on the Del City City Council in 1992.

He loved to travel with his family and would vacation every summer in Crested Butte, Colorado to escape the Oklahoma heat. He was also a lifelong car fanatic and enjoyed working on cars when he was young, but really enjoyed taking his kids to car shows. 

He is preceded in death by his father Willard and mother Ruby Croy. He is survived by his wife Carolyn “Kay” Croy; Sister, Barbara Kitz; Children, Brad and wife Acacia Croy; Darren and wife Jessica Croy; Grandchildren, Liam, Ethan and Hudson Croy. 

A time of visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00pm on Friday, May 14th at Resthaven Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 10:00am Saturday, May 15th at Resthaven Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Gladney Center for Adoption, 6300 John Ryan Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76132-4122.
