Johnice Marie Autrey

Johnice Marie (Harris) Autrey was born June 10, 1943, in Oklahoma City to Charles and Willetta Harris. She passed peacefully in Oklahoma City on November 22, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones.

Johnice wasn’t a stranger to hard work. She worked for a number of years at Lucent Technologies where she later retired. However, her real passion was her family. She loved spending time with her husband and kids, and of course later her grandkids and great-grandkids. Johnice took pride in her family’s accomplishments. She always encouraged each person to travel their own path with the understanding that she was by their side every step of the way. Her optimism had no limits.

Johnice was witty and even sassy at times. Her sense of humor and distinctive laugh were infectious. She loved to visit with others and catch up on the news in her circle. Her spare time was filled with crossword puzzles and Law & Order.

In recent years, Johnice battled Alzheimer's. Her family worked tirelessly to help her maintain clarity. Even on her worst days, the spark was still there. While she may have lost this battle, her light shines throughout her loved ones.

Her family would like to invite all those that have known and loved her to join them in a celebratory visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home, Friday, November 25, 2022, 12:00 – 2:30pm with a brief graveside service to follow at 3:00pm. The family would also like to invite all to continue their fellowship with a meal. Address to be provided.
