February 21, 2018 brought to a close 79 years of a life well lived for Jimmy Dan “Sully” Sullivan. He was born April 2, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Jewell (Little) and Gene Sullivan. Jimmy’s family moved to Oklahoma when he was a child and he grew up in Oklahoma City. Following graduation from High School Jimmy spent some time in college before enrolling joining the Army Reserves. He then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps.
Following Jimmy’s time in the military he went on to enjoy a successful career as an officer in the banking business from which he retired. When Jimmy wasn’t hard at work you could find him playing a round of golf or fishing. Jimmy loved music, coming from a very musical family, and he was very artistic, drawing all the time. He was kind and soft spoken and very funny.
Left to Cherish Jimmy’s memories are his brother, Tommy Sullivan; daughter, Sindy Sullivan; son, Danny Sullivan and wife Carri; granddaughters, Cardeya Garris, Paige and Megan Sullivan; and great-grandson, Eli Garris, Jr.
Services to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be 2:00pm Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in The Chapel at Resthaven.
