Tribute

Jessie Mae Rice, 83, (beloved mother, grandmother, and soul) has left us to spend eternity with the Lord. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and joy.
She was born in Crowley, Louisiana on May 26, 1939, to Whitney and Ethel Rodriguez. Jessie was one of six children (five girls and one boy). As a little girl, Jessie’s family moved to Oklahoma, where she spent the rest of her life. She married the love of her life, Dean Rice, at the age of 19 and soon gave birth to two sons, Brent and Darren Rice.
Jessie was a woman of many talents and traits. She spent many years in the fashion industry as a model, hosted her very own late-night DJ radio broadcast as well as a fashion boutique and worked for the Oklahoma City Sheriff’s Department. Her love for the arts was evident in her beautiful paintings, which she created with her intricate skill and passion. Jessie was a devout Catholic and lived her life grounded in her faith. She was a true advocate both for life and for Jesus Christ.
Jessie is survived by two sons, Brent and Darren Rice; daughter-in-law, Gail Rice; six grandchildren, Tobias, Ann Margaret, Alexander, Gabriell, Molly, Valerie, Forrest, and Ryan; several other friends and family members.
