Jesse R. "Rassey" Barefoot
June 25, 1925 ~ January 16, 2021 (age 95) 95 Years Old

Jesse R. Barefoot went to be with the Lord on Saturday January 16, 2021.
“Rassey” was born to Jess & Nora Barefoot on June 25,1925. He was the youngest of five children. He is preceded by two brothers, Bud and Ernest; two sisters, Ruby and Betty; and his wife Neva who preceded him in 2004.
He is survived by his two children, Rassey Steven Barefoot and wife, Kendell of Tulsa, and Ginger and husband David Lilley of Stillwater; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
He was born and raised in Oklahoma City. He served in WWII in North Africa and the European Theatre.
On March 8, 1947, He married Neva George and they were married fifty-seven years until her death. They were members of Jefferson Heights Baptist Church for many years and later attended Church at Wilmont Baptist Church. They were members of Okie-Dokies camping club for several years and became real “snowbirds”.
He began work at AT&T in 1946 and he retired December 31, 1983 at the breakup of “Ma Bell”. He loved golf and achieved a hole in one. And liked to complain that retirement at 58 meant no Sr., discount at the golf course.
He enjoyed people and breakfast at McDonalds with his pals.
He especially enjoyed and came to depend on the almost daily visits with his best friend Richard until he reluctantly moved to Stillwater five years ago.
Dad was a man who loved his family, he loved life, and always made the most of every day.
