He was an active member of Westmoore Community Church for almost 12 years, and volunteered at St. Anthony Hospital for the last 7 years. Jerry was an avid sports fan. He played multiple sports in high school, and continued to play basketball and men’s softball for several years in his adult life. He loved the Oklahoma Sooners especially football, women’s basketball and softball. Jerry enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and spending time at Lake Tenkiller with family and friends. He lived his entire life in the Oklahoma City/Moore area. He attended Crooked Oak and Sacred Heart Grade Schools, and graduated from Mt. St. Mary High School in 1960. He worked in a family-owned oil business for over 30 years. He finished his career at Commercial Distributing, Inc., where he made life-long friends, and retired in 2007. In 1958, Jerry met the love of his life, Lois Ann Sokolosky, while attending Mt. St. Mary High School. They married in 1961, had 3 children, and have been inseparable for over 60 years. Jerry had an absolute, never-ending love for his family. He was a superhero to them and will be greatly missed.
