Tribute

Jerry Lynn Crow passed away in his home on September 7, 2021 surrounded by family following a battle with cancer. He was born on April 22, 1947 in Bokchito, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Moreland Crow and Lillie Pearl Robison; and one sister, Bobbie-Jean Denham. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris, four children, Robert Crow, Tina Crow, Teresa Allen and Chris Rowe; two sisters, Barbara Dixon and Alice Lake and his brother Granville Crow. He has nine grandchildren, Rylee and Hayden Jeffries, Tyler and Kelsey Crow, Little Jerry, Glenn and Nindy Adams, Kayla Doss, and Corey Rowe. He also has 10 great grandchildren and his newest great grand-child, Walker Lee Rowe was born on the same day of Jerry’s passing.

Jerry’s passion in life was his wife Doris, his family, his work, his pipeline family and his two dogs, Lucy and Izzy, who were always at his side, in his lap or on his shoulder on the back of his chair. Jerry grew up loving to hunt and fish but his true enjoyment was working. For him it wasn’t just a paycheck, it was a way of life which he truly enjoyed. He worked as a pipeliner for over 54 years, primarily for Sheehan Pipeline Company, concluding with Price Gregory. He kept working long after he could take his pension and retire. He was well respected by those he worked with and has been referred to by many as a legend. He was known by many as Mr. Jerry, some of his closest friends referred to him as Daddy Crow, and others, including Doris, just called him Crow.

Jerry grew up in Knowles, Oklahoma and played basketball in high school. He then moved to Forgan, Oklahoma where all of his children graduated high school, and then he eventually moved to Oklahoma City. However, he lived most of his life in his fifth-wheel travel trailers in states from coast to coast. Jerry’s version of vacation was sitting in his chair at home watching old westerns on TV with his dogs and Doris.
