Tribute

July 5, 2018 brought to an end 92 years of the wonderful life of Janie Rhea Wilson. Janie was born in Wayne Oklahoma on October 8, 1925 the daughter of Charlie and Amy (Bryant) Manning. She grew up in the Bryant Community and went on to graduate from Purcell High School. In 1945 she married Luie Wilson and the couple made their home in the Oklahoma City area. Janie enjoyed playing the piano and the organ at her church, as well as she enjoyed sewing, needle point, crossword puzzles, word searches and doing pottery. Many will remember Janie for being a part of the Volunteer Auxiliary at Southwest Medical Center for nearly 30 years. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter; Cynthia Wilson, her son; Manning Wilson and his longtime companion Lori Hoppes, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Janie Lu Hainey and her brother Norman Manning.
Services to celebrate Janie’s life will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in The Chapel at Resthaven with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
