Janet Robinson

Janet “Jan” Elizabeth Edwards Robinson, 74, of Oklahoma City, OK was born on August 16, 1947 in Ada, Oklahoma and passed away with her daughter Angela by her bedside into the loving arms of Jesus Christ early Monday afternoon on April 18, 2022 after an unexpected but hard fought illness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Oneta Florene Davis Edwards Troxell; father, Thomas Chick Edwards and her beloved husband of 50 years, Michael Allen Robinson. Jan is survived by her daughter Angela Robinson-Bode and husband Jeff Bode of The Woodlands, TX and two grandchildren - Austin Chase Bode and Ashlyn Elizabeth Bode. She also leaves behind a sister, Brenda Joyce Troxell Boren of Oklahoma City, OK, nephew Bryan Boren (wife Tina) of Moore, OK and niece Jana McLemore (husband Shane) of Oklahoma City, OK. Jan graduated from Central High School, Oklahoma City, OK in 1965 and after graduation, she began her long and illustrious career with the Oklahoma City Public Schools. She retired from Oklahoma City Public Schools central administration office after 42 years of service where she supported and served under numerous Superintendents as an Executive Administrator. Along with her husband Mike, she was an avid supporter of the OSU Cowboys, enjoyed trips to Colorado, loved shopping, a voracious reader, a believer in life long education, a lover of ragdoll breed cats and she loved her family dearly. We are going to miss her more than words can say. Funeral visitation will be at Resthaven located at 500 SW 104th St. in Oklahoma City, OK from 10am to 8pm on Thursday, April 21, 2022 and the funeral will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12:30pm at the same location. The family asks that you consider giving to the American Heart Association and please donate blood when you can….it just may save a loved one’s life.
