James Blythe

James “Jim” Palmer Blythe passed from this life October 28, 2020 at the age of 98. He was born on January 29, 1922. After graduating from high school, Jim went on to work at an aircraft plant in Dallas, TX. He married the love of his life, Johnie, in 1947. They were blessed with a wonderful marriage prior to Johnie’s passing. During the time he was working at the aircraft plant, Jim was drafted into the United States Army. Upon his discharge from the Army, he worked as a Metal Fabricator. Jim retired at the age of 50.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; and his wife, Johnie Blythe.
He is survived by family members Don Holder, Dale Johnson, Kyle Johnson, Katie Johnson, Keith Johnson, Marla Hovarter, Stephanie Hovarter, Matthew Hovarter, and Judy Woods. In addition, he is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
Visitation is Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 S.W. 104th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
