Ila Marie Lovelace

Ila Marie Lovelace passed away December 31, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on October 15, 1929 in Moorewood, Oklahoma to Veva Beatrice Clark and Scott Rex Roberts. She attended school in Weatherford, Oklahoma playing the Clarinet in the band. Ila married Don Eugene Lovelace in 1947 and enjoyed 70 years of marriage until his death in 2017. She worked for Southwestern Bell/ AT&T and retired in 1986. She was a long-time member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. Ila was preceded in death by her husband Don (Jimmy) Lovelace, one grandchild, Ty Lee Hiatt, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by her three children, Phyllis Lovelace, Steve Lovelace and wife Ellen, Donna Moore and husband Bill and one brother, Harold Roberts and wife Norma. Five grandchildren, Derek Brock, Jennifer Morton, Kristal Wheeler, Brent Lovelace and Ryan Brock. Nine great grandchildren, Kaylynn Morton, Zachary Morton, Morgan Wheeler, Colton Brock, Daniel Morton, Madelyn Brock, Aisley Lovelace, Wyatt Wheeler, Avalynn Lovelace and two step great grandchildren, Joshua Wheeler and Kathyrn Wheeler. The family would like to thank the staff at Village on the Park senior living and Physician’s Choice Hospice (Danielle and Kierra) for their loving care of our mother. Services to celebrate Ila’s life will be 2:00pm Friday, January 4, 2019 in The Chapel at Resthaven, 500 SW 104th Street, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
