Hwan Chu Yi, 63 years of age, passed on Monday, April. 5, 2021 in the care of INTEGRIS Hospice House, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by the love of her family. Hwan was born in Seoul, Korea on April 14, 1957 to Kyu Jun Lee and Kim Ok Suk. She graduated from Seoul National University High School.

Hwan relocated to the United States when she was 19 years old. Hwan was a very hardworking person. She worked as cook, waitress, black jack dealer Comstock Casino (Reno, NV), and as a cashier for many years at Melrose gas station in OKC. She kept smiles on her customers’ faces with her pleasantries and small talk.

Hwan accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal savior and loved going to Oklahoma Korean Central Presbyterian Church with her daughter and grandchildren since 2008.
Her interest included a love for cooking, singing, and sewing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching Korea drama movies.

Hwan is survived by her daughter Sarah Jackson Mason, son-in-law Gee Mason; Granddaughters Destiny Jackson and Endya Sanders; and Grandsons Omari Jackson and G’Tavis Mason.

Hwan has one sibling Jong Hoon Lee, who is married to Sung Ae. They have two children (niece) Kyung Ah and (nephew) Kwang Woo.

Hwan is preceded in death by her father Kyu Jun Lee, her mother Kim Ok Suk,and son Elijah Jackson. She will be missed by her friends, family and all who knew her.
