Glenda Walker

Glenda Dalene Walker passed away the morning of October 28th, 2018. Glenda was born on June 26th, 1946 and was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Reverend John Walker; her mother Helen Kaiser Rice; her siblings Donna
Cole and Mike Rice; her two daughters, Christy Prescott and Cheri Sheppard; her eight grandchildren: Jonathan Ashton Prescott, Abigail Prescott-Ramirez, Edie Prescott and Ella Prescott, Tyler Ermeling, Jacqueline Ermeling, Collin Ermeling and William Julian; and her four great grandchildren: Kayla Prescott, Julio Ramirez, Victoria Ramirez and Harper Prescott. She is joining her father Bill Rice in Heaven.


Glenda was a devout Christian and spent her entire life serving the church alongside her husband, John. She loved working in her garden, shopping with friends, and spending time ministering to and praying for others. But more than anything, she loved her family. She dedicated her time and energy to organizing family holidays and dinners. Often times she would start cooking for large family gatherings a week in advance and she prided herself in passing down her recipes to her children and grandchildren. She was overjoyed when everyone was together. Glenda is remembered as a godly woman and unwavering caretaker of all. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday October 30th from 1-8 pm.
Funeral service will be held 10am at Resthaven Funeral Home Wednesday, October 31st.
