Geraldine Shepardson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 10, 2020, in Oklahoma City at the age of 80 years.
Geraldine Shepardson was born on August 11, 1940, in Cordell, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Albert and Clara Geneva (Chadd) Knauf. She grew up in Cordell attending Cordell Public Schools graduating in 1958. Following her education she married William “Pete” Shepardson Jr., on May 15, 1959, and lived in various states and countries while Pete was in the military. In 1975 they moved to Moore, Oklahoma. Geraldine began her career working for almost thirty years in the dental field retiring in 2001. In 2009 Pete preceded her in death and she continued to make Moore her home until the tornado in 2013, she then moved to Oklahoma City. She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, reading, going to the movies, and one of her highlights in life was getting to go to Disney World with her daughter and family, and she loved spending time with her children and being granny and grandma to her little ones. She attended Southpointe Church.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Charlotte Schmidt.
She is survived by her three children, William “Bill” Chester Shepardson III and wife Helen, Vikki Lea Southerland and husband Daniel, and Jeffrey Albert Shepardson and wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lea Edwards, William “Billy” Chester Shepardson IV and wife Crystal, Kristopher Scott Shepardson, Megan Nicole West and husband Kurt, Jacob Dean Southerland, and Riley Fielder; ten great grandchildren, Richie Avritt, Hayden Edwards, Dixie Edwards, McKayla Shepardson, Evan Shepardson, Breann Shepardson, Zayden Shepardson, Kimberlynn Shepardson, Eden West, and Canaan West; one brother, JD Knauf; and two sisters, Juanita Hughes, and Ethel Isbell.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 15, 2020, from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at the Resthaven Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 15, 2020, in the Resthaven Memory Gardens with Pastor Scott Morris officiating.
