George “Howard” Evans passed from this life September 28, 2020. He was born June 8, 1946 in Tulsa, OK to William “Bill” and Louise Evans (George).


Howard graduated from Catoosa High School. He enlisted into the United States Air Force on July 28, 1965 in Wichita Falls TX, Sheppard AFB. During this time, he owned and operated a plumbing business as well. He married the love of his life, Beverly Bell, on September 15, 1967. After 20 years of serving in the Air Force, he retired in 1985 as a Master Sergeant in Great Falls MT, Malmstrom AFB.


He then went into civil service and worked as a Quality Control Inspector on missile sites for an additional 20 years, retiring again in 2006. When he was not working, Howard enjoyed woodworking and hunting, and was a dedicated Assembly of God church member, where he served on the deacon board as well. In addition, Howard loved fishing and he and Beverly made several trips to Canada to fish for Pike and Walleye.


Howard was preceded in passing by his parents, William “Bill” Evans and Louise Brock; and grandson, Zechariah Ryan Evans.
 

Those left to continue his legacy include his loving wife, Beverly Evans; children, Teresa L. Evans Kearns and Tim H. Evans; brothers, Larry Brock and wife Ramona, Dick Brock and wife Sheila, and Mike Brock; sisters, Nancy Kay Torres and Lorrie Sanders and husband Allen ; grandchildren, Savannah Evans, Timothy Isaac Evans, Andrew Hood and wife Allyson, Whitney Hood, and Christopher Nelson; great-grandchildren, Samuel Hood and Oliver Hood; and dear friends of many years, Perry and Janice Justus.


Visitation for Howard is 10:00am to 2:00pm, Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 S.W. 104th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73139. Graveside services will take place at 2:00pm on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Condolences may be shared at www.ResthavenOKC.com. A memorial service to honor Howard’s life will take place at 10:00am, Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Wewoka First Assembly of God Church, 1301 S Mekusukey Ave, Wewoka, OK 74884.
