Genevieve “Jean” Lucille Southard passed from this life November 10, 2020 in Oklahoma City. She was born October 30, 1928 in El Reno, OK to Victor and Mary Schwab (Menz).
Jean grew up in El Reno and attended Sacred Heart schools. She worked at a local movie theater there and that is where she met the love of her life, Tylar Southard. They married November 11, 1947 and began their family together. Jean later worked as a dental assistant and continued to do this for many years in various dental practices throughout the years.
Jean enjoyed working in her yard, watching old T.V. shows, and cheering for the OKC Thunder. In addition, she also enjoyed cross-stitch and found joy in making blankets and other items for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Victor and Mary Schwab; loving husband, Tylar Lee Southard; son, Tylar Lee Southard; siblings, Robert Schwab, Richard Schwab, and Cletus Schwab, and Bernadine Schwab; and son-in-law, Charles Braun.
Those left to continue her legacy include her daughter, Sandy Braun; son, Dennis Southard and wife Laurie; sister, Lorene McNeil; grandchildren, Justin Braun and wife Amy, Adam Braun and wife Lindsay, Tim Braun and wife Nikki, Gabrielle, J.T. and wife Makayla; and great-grandchildren, Kylie Ross, Jackson Braun, Charles Braun, Tatum Braun, Nate Braun, Gage Southard, and Grant Southard. Jean is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
