After 76 years of a life well lived, Garvin Daniel “Danny” Franks, passed away January 2, 2018. He was born December 18, 1941 in Oklahoma City to Garvin G. and Lora (Mabery) Franks. Danny grew up in Oklahoma City and was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School. In March 1963, he married his loving wife Jerri. Danny was employed for many years at Tinker Air Force Base, where he worked as a machinist and retired as a machine shop supervisor. A motorcycle enthusiast for many years, Danny was also an animal lover and an avid Sooner fan. He enjoyed golf, woodworking, and going to the lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gary Grant Franks.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: beloved wife of 54 years, Jerri Franks; daughters: Toni Lusk and husband David, Dodie Gray, and Dana Moyer and husband Marc; sister, Norma Page; grandchildren: Niki Burch and husband Mark, Erin Allen and husband Jonathan, Wesley Gray and wife Angel, Courtney Lusk, and Brandon Moyer and wife Nikki; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends.

Visitation will be held 1-8pm Friday, January 5 at Resthaven Funeral Home with family to greet friends from 5-8pm. A celebration of Danny’s life will be held 2pm Saturday, January 6 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
