Tribute

After 69 years of a life full of love with family and friends, Eva Teresa Hixson passed away peacefully in her home on November 7, 2018. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Manuel and Virginia Galindo on August 14, 1949. Eva was an exceptional cook who took great joy in her large family, their boisterous family gatherings and the varied successes and accomplishments of her nieces and nephews. She had a long, dedicated career in both the Oklahoma County and Federal Court systems.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Manuel P. Galindo; sisters, Mary Hellen Galindo Hoffman, Carlota Galindo Sharpe; and nephew John David Codrey.

She is survived by her only child, Jennifer Hixson; sister, Cecilia Galindo Codrey and husband John; sister, Rachel Galindo Espolt and husband Steve; brothers-in-law, Richard Hoffman and Paul Sharpe; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews, in addition to her former spouse Anthony W. Hixson, and his brother Emmett Hixson and wife Elizabeth.

Visitation will be held 1-8pm Sunday with family to greet friends from 2-4pm.

A rosary will be held 4pm Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Monday at Our Lady’s Cathedral, N. W. 32nd and Western, Oklahoma City, with final interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
