Erma Jean Pennanen, 83, of Ada died peacefully in her home Tuesday, September 19, 2017.
She was born November 3, 1933 in Crawford, OK to Fred and Lectra Forman. She was the oldest of three children.  She graduated from Taloga High School then attended college at Oklahoma State University where she took business classes.  She married Richard Pennanen and they had 2 children, Janet and Ross Pennanen.  They made their home in California where they raised cows and eventually moved back to Oklahoma to live closer to her parents. Erma loved animals, especially her little dog named Sugar.  She always made sure that the birds were fed.  She loved to cook and bake and try new recipes. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Willard Forman and her son Ross Pennanen.  Survivors include her daughter Janet, and grandsons, Stephen and Gage Pennanen, her sister Freda Horn and niece Debbie Hallum and nephew Steve Horn.  Erma had 4 great grandchildren, Austin, Savannah, Victoria and baby Ross Pennanen and many nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by everyone. Funeral services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 2:00 in Oklahoma City.
