Elzie Smith, 87, of Oklahoma City, Ok passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his home. He was born September 8, 1934 in Ada, OK to Elzie and Clarice Smith.
Elzie served proudly in the United States Air Force, and upon leaving the service returned home and began his career with the Oklahoma City Fire Department as well as teaching Fire Safety at one of the local Universities. Elzie retired from the Fire Department with the rank of Deputy Chief.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, one son Robin Smith and a grandson Justin Smith and one great grandson. He is also survived by three step-daughters and several step grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for him on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 am, at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
