Elidia (Lopez) Carey

August 3, 2018 brought to a close the vibrant life of 43-year-old Elidia Lopez-Carey of Midwest City. She was born March 5, 1975 to Ruby (Analla) and Jesse Lopez. Lydia was a 1993 graduate of Midwest City High School, and true to her giving nature, went on to become a Medical Assistant to help others. Always up for adventure, Lydia loved to travel. From sandy beaches in Florida to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Lydia was up for anything. Not only did she love to travel, but Lydia made her home everywhere from Florida to Oklahoma, Tennessee to Colorado and Mississippi, and from New Mexico to Alaska, and she made friends she cherished all along the way. Lydia was a girly girl, always making sure her hair, nails and toes were perfect. If you needed a shopping partner Lydia was your girl. She loved to spoil her nieces and nephews, and her son Robert and her dogs were her true pride and joy!
Lydia was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Rosco; and grandparents, Ben and Lilly Lopez and Marcellina Analla.
Keeping Lydia’s memories alive are her son, Robert McIntire; husband, Raymond Carey and his son DeMarcus Carey; parents, Ruby Analla and Jesse Lopez, Sr.; siblings, Ruby (Robb) Wetmore, Jesse Lopez, Nasly Lopez, and Erica Lopez; nieces and nephews, Christian, Sean, Gabriel, Isabella, Austin and Madison; and numerous other family and friends.
Services to celebrate Lydia’s life will begin with a Rosary Friday, Aug. 10, 2018 at 7pm in The Chapel at Resthaven. They will continue 2:00pm Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Midwest City. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
