Douglas Owen Crabb was born April 1, 1934 in Wilson, Oklahoma to Fred and Effie Crabb. He passed away May 4, 2020 at the age of 86 years young in Oklahoma City, after a lengthy illness.
Doug attended Rexroat Schools. He played basketball in Rexroat High School. Doug’s
first job was at his uncle's Phillips 66 gas station. He then worked in the oil field. Doug married Donna Lamb May 31, 1952 in Dillard Oklahoma. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1959 where he worked in road construction. Doug started working for Oklahoma Natural Gas in 1961. He retired in 1989 after 26 years. Doug enjoyed fishing, watching football, basketball and spending time with family. Doug had a very colorful sense of humor and was a creative storyteller.
Doug is survived by wife of 68 years - Donna Crabb, Oklahoma City; Children: Douglas W. Crabb (Sheila); Cindi Drummond (Gary); Grandchildren: Candace Walkup (Bart); Jeremy Crabb (Kelly); Matthew Drummond (Alex); Chris Drummond (Vanessa);
Great-Grandchildren: Sydney Walkup, Megan Walkup, David Crabb, Aubrey Drummond, Ashton Donovan, Ryan Drummond, John Crabb, Oliver Drummond.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Effie Crabb and brother’s Jack Crabb and Gary Crabb.
The family would like to thank Frontier Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Doug.
Due to restrictions of the COVID-19 attendance is restricted to immediate family. The service will be livestreamed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 1:00pm to 6:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
