Dorothy Lorene Beecher Grummer, 92 passed away January 25, 2018 in Oklahoma City. She was born on December 5, 1925 to Adolph and Theda Beecher in Okarche, OK. Dorothy was baptized December 27, 1925 and confirmed on April 2, 1939 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Okarche, OK. Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, a licensed beautician, painting, working in her flower gardens, teaching Sunday School but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a previous member of Trinity Lutheran Church and participated in many church activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, William and Edgar Beecher. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 72 years; three sons, Larry Grummer and wife Darlene, Dr. Bruce Gummer and wife Linda, Keith Grummer and wife Gayla; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. Visitation will held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, January 26th 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. Services to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Moore, OK. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.
