Donna J. DeLancey

Obituary Donna Jean DeLancey, 86, of Norman Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 31, 2023. The family is heartbroken, will miss her tremendously but celebrates the finishing of her race. Donna Jean was born November 22, 1936 in Cambridge Nebraska to Howard and Nellie Goble. While Attending McCook High School she played the French horn and was a drum majorette. Before graduating high school, she met and married the love of her life, Robert Houston DeLancey Jr. In 1965 they began their ministry together as Pastors of a small Assembly of God church in the west Texas town of Lefores. Throughout their ministry they pastored 7 churches in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Donna’s passion and purpose were her 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was the textbook homemaker. Everything was in its right place and super clean. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Robert H. DeLancey Jr, parents Howard and Nellie Goble, sisters Maxine Hope and Verline Bombeck. She is survived by her 3 children Robert DeLancey of Lamar Colorado, Diana Nelson and husband Gary Nelson of Edmond OK, and Sherri Uhles and husband Ric Uhles of Norman OK. Grandchildren, Nicole Nelson Martin, Janee Queen, Matt Nelson, Jared DeLancey, Amy Miller, Lance Uhles and Cheyenne DeLancey. Great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ashlyn, Jaxon, Alexa, Selah, Sophie, Landry, Jude, Rex, Mack, Kingston, Duke, Case and Isla. Donna was a true servant of the Lord and a wonderful helpmate to her husband as they ministered together for over 30 years. She was devoted to her family. She will be remembered, and Her memory treasured.
