Diana Lynn Owens

Diana Lynn Owens of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on May 10, 2021, in Norman at the Age of 71 years.

Diana Lynn Owens was born on August 10, 1949, in Welch, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Ross Hazel (Robinson) Oliver. She grew up in Welch attending Welch Public Schools and graduating in 1965. She then furthered her education at Blue Field State University receiving her Associates in Business. She then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where she began her career at Collins World. Diana married Samuel Owens on July 2, 1971, in Cleveland, Ohio and they made their home there. In May 1980, they moved to the Norman area and she began working for Sonic Corporation working there for seventeen years. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, watching movies and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Oliver; and one sister, Peggy Smith.

Diana is survived by her husband of over forty-nine years, Samuel Owens; one son, Steven and wife Jackie; two grandchildren, Alexandria and Natasha Owens; many cousins and numerous friends.
