Debrah Jean McKinzy was born on March 23, 1955 to Burgess and Helen McAnally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from US Grant High School in 1973. She worked in day care all of her life, devoting many years to the nurture and teaching of children. She was a faithful servant of all, teaching children’s church, preparing many meals, and volunteering much of her time caring for others. She was an avid OU football fan and also enjoyed fishing for crappe on Grand Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents Burgess and Helen, her brothers Darryl and Tom, and sister Carolyn Sue.
She is survived by sisters Shirley and Janice, brother-in-laws Mark and David, nephews John, Steven, Jeremy, Brian, Scott and Matthew, nieces Rachel, Alisha, Denise, Teena, Ginger, Tamra and Jessica, great nephews Bentley, Tatum, Wesley, and Zebulun, and great nieces Bellamy, Maci, Tatum, Parker, Gentry, and Charleigh, Logan, Cadence and Tommie.
A scripture that comes to her family’s mind when they think of her is: “and whoever among you would be greatest must be servant of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:44-45 MEV
Debbie was truly an aunt to all and will be so greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family will be receiving guests Tuesday 3/12 at the visitation from 6-8.
