Danna Metzger

Danna Dean Metzger, of Edmond, entered her heavenly home on September 6, 2023 at the age of 80.  She was born August 20, 1943 in Oklahoma City to Dan and Nadine Harrington. She married the love of her life, Tommy Metzger, and they had one son, Hank.  They were blessed with 53 years of marriage prior to Tommy’s passing in 2019.  
Danna loved her family very much and also loved her country.  She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling and reading. She loved flowers and gardening and worked at a florist for many years. Danna loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and she taught Sunday school for many years at Southern Hills Baptist Church. 
She was proceeded in passing by her husband, Tommy Metzger, her parents Dan and Nadine Harrington and her brother, Joe Harrington.  
Danna is survived by her son Hank and his wife Angela, granddaughter Brooke and grandson Ethan, along with extended family and friends and her special dog that she loved very much, Daisy. 
Visitation is on Tuesday September 12, 2023 from 10 am – 1 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. The service will immediately follow at 2pm in the Chapel at Resthaven.
