Tribute

Our beloved, Clemmie Bahm Hitchings, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was 83 years old.
Clemmie Frances Cabrina Joan was one of ten children born to the late Leon and Shoule Bahm on January 3, 1939. She was born and raised in Folsom, LA, St. Tammany Parish. After graduating high school, Clemmie served in the U.S. Air Force, where she met Owen L. Hitchings. They were married in Carson City, Nevada on August 21, 1958 and later held a wedding reception in Corvallis, Oregon. Clemmie and Owen had four daughters together: Monica, Kim, Terri and Lisa. Owen’s Air Force career took them across the United States and Europe, eventually settling in Oklahoma City, OK in 1977.
Clemmie worked in Oklahoma City and retired after serving with the State of Oklahoma for many years. She was also an active member of St. Paul’s the Apostle Catholic Church, located in Del City.
Clemmie had a generous and vivacious spirit and was committed to her family. She had an infectious sense of humor, and family gatherings were always full of laughter. She loved to play with her grandchildren and spend time outside watching the birds. Her hospitality meant that you always felt included, and you never left her house thirsty, hungry, or empty-handed. Clemmie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
