Carrine Theodora Weatherford

Carrine Theadora Rogers Weatherford, at the age of 95 gently passed away, August 8th, 2019, in Oklahoma City OK. She was born, October 12, 1923, in Roosevelt AR, to Claude and Sadie Rogers, and was the youngest of ten children. From Arkansas, Carrine moved to Oklahoma and attended school in Tuttle OK. She eventually moved to Oklahoma City, and on Oct 26, 1946, married Dewey L. Weatherford.

Carrine was an exceptional homemaker. She centered her love and attention to her home, husband, and daughter, Karen Weatherford Craig. Carrine and Dewey were active members of Crossroads Church. She taught Sunday school in the Children’s Church, and could also be found at the information and welcome desk, for many years. She was an excellent cook, and kept her cookie jar full of delicious chocolate chip cookies for her six grandchildren, Kris Craig of Irving TX, Scott Craig of Richardson TX, Noah Craig of McKinney TX, Nicholas Craig of Atlanta GA, Wendi Cummings of Richland WA, and Molly Arnell of Rigby ID. Her sixteen great-grand children filled her life with joy, along with helping to keep that cookie jar empty. She also had two great-great grandchildren.

Carrine was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Dewey Lee Weatherford. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Craig of Wichita Falls TX.

Viewing will be Friday, August 16, at Resthaven Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Graveside services will be August 17, 10:00am, at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
