Carolyn "Carol" Harris

Carolyn Elizabeth “Carol” Harris was born August 2, 1940 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Carl C. Spainhour and Josie Elizabeth Spainhour. She was preceded in death by her parents, a twin sister at birth, brothers, Charles Spainhour, Donnie Spainhour, and Earnie Spainhour. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jim; two daughters, Terri Bond and husband Fred Wigley, and Robin Ashley and husband Melvin; five grandchildren, Melody Ashley, Lauren and husband Jaden Geckles, along with their children, Delynna and husband Russell Kelley along with their children, Linda and husband Dustin Denny along with their children, and Christiana Crotinger along with her children; a brother, Ronnie Spainhour and sister, Judy Mitchell.
Carolyn was married to her husband Jim in 1957, while he was serving in the military and retired in Oklahoma City. She worked for Moore Public Schools at Houchin Elementary for 23 years. After retiring she and her husband traveled extensively. The loves of Carolyn’s life were God, her husband, and her family and friends.
Visitation is 1:00pm-4:00pm, Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Resthaven. Services are 10:00am, Monday, January 23, 2023 at Emmaus Baptist Church, 16001 S. Western Ave. OKC, OK. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
