Calvin passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Veterans’ Hospital, Oklahoma City. He was the son of Frank and Maxine Palmer. He married Tonia Ortega, February 3, 1994 in Oklahoma City.
He attended Western Heights High School. After high school, Calvin attended technical school where he became licensed in heating, air and plumbing. He became the owner of his own business, Palmer Plumbing, Heating, and Air, in 1975.
He loved the Oklahoma Sooners and fishing. He competed in many bass tournaments. Yard work and landscaping were important parts of his retired life. Neighbors loved his beautiful flowers and lawn.
Calvin is survived by: Toni Palmer, his wife, of the home
Brothers: Darrelle Palmer and wife, Wanda (McLoud, OK); Mark Palmer and wife, Anna (OKC)
Sister: Judy Palmer Sharp and husband, Rodney (Yukon, OK)
Daughters: Misti Palmer (OKC), Brandi Palmer (OKC), Jamie Palmer Hager and husband, Tony (OKC)
Bonus Sons: Justin Jones (Cambridge, MA), Nathan Jones and wife, Chrissi (Lewiston, ME)
There are also four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calvin will be remembered for his: generosity, sense of humor, kindness, and devotion to his wife. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Toni, his family, many friends and neighbors.
A special thank you to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Veterans’ Hospital in Oklahoma City who cared for him.
A memorial Celebration of his Life will be held at Resthaven Chapel (OKC) on Friday, February 3 at 2:00pm. Burial services will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.
