OKLAHOMA CITY
Blanca Fanny Gomez (Morales) entered her Heavenly home on February 1, 2021, in Oklahoma City. She was born November 28, 1934, in Acambaro Guanajuato, Mexico, to Jose Cleofas Morales and Luz Maria Bocanegra. She grew up in Acambaro, Salvatierra, and Mexico City.
In Salvatierra, Guanajuato, she met Louis Gomez, marrying in May 1965. She spent the next 54 years together with her family in Oklahoma City.
Blanca worked as a Bilingual Teacher's Aide in the Oklahoma Public School System for twenty-seven years. She raised their family at St. James Catholic Church, where she and Louis have been members for the past 45 years. She had many interests and hobbies, enjoyed hosting dinner and cocktail parties, but most of all, spending time with her family & friends both in Mexico and Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in passing by her parents Jose Cleofas and Luz Maria Morales, and her siblings; Jorge, Leticia, Francisco, and Mario Morales.
Blanca is survived by her husband, Louis, her son Mario Thomas Gomez and his husband, Jerrold Krause; her daughter, Cecilia Maria Gomez (Soriano), and her husband, Jose Antonio Soriano; and grandchildren, Andres and wife, Isabel Chehaibar, Alexandro, and Jose Antonio; her sisters, Sara Garcia, Imra Cabrera, Araceli Rosillo, and Marilu Gonzalez; brothers Jaime, Armando, and Javier Morales.
Blanca's family is honoring her last wishes to be buried in Queretaro, Mexico. In light of COVID-19, there will be no services at this time. The family would like to express your thanks for all the prayers and calls during this difficult time.
