Billy J Glenn

April 15, 1933 ~ September 18, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years Old
Billy Joe Glenn Sr., 84, of Moore, departed this life to be with the Lord on September 18, 2017. He was surrounded by family and love and is now free from his pain. He was born on April 15, 1933 in Asher, Oklahoma and was one of seven children. He learned to be self sufficient at an early age and would go on to accomplish many things in his life. On October 22, 1954 he married the love of his life, Linda Lou (Criss). They were happily married for 62 years and he was her forever love. They had a son and a daughter. He was a Korean War Vet. After his service to our country he went to work at Tinker Air Force Base where he eventually retired from. He taught Heat/Air/Refrigeration at Moore-Norman Vo-Tech. Bill was also the owner of B & B Heat/Air/Refrigeration. He worked hard to build a very successful business and was well respected by his customers. He loved what he did for a living which made it very hard for him to retire his business in 2009.
Early in life he loved to spend time traveling with his family, especially to Colorado where he loved to fish, hunt and snow ski. He loved to spend time outdoors whether it was gardening or tinkering in the barn. Bill was a very giving and caring person. Bill and Linda were active members of Southern Hills Baptist Church for 35 years. Throughout his life he was able to lend a helping hand to many people and played a role to many as a mentor, a father figure and witnessing to many in hopes of turning people's lives around through his love of the Lord. Most important he was a loving, devoted husband and father and had a very special place in his heart for his all his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Athie (Dowd) Glenn, his brothers Buddy and Wesley, his sisters Audrey and Novella.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Linda Glenn; son Billy Joe Glenn Jr. and wife Karen; daughter Kathy Stouder and husband David; brother Jessie Glenn and wife Lucy; sister Donna Holland; grandson Brandon Glenn and wife Mary Adams; granddaughter Chasiti Hovarter and husband Joey; great-granddaughters Jordan Baker and husband Adam, Kayla Hovarter and Lauryn Hovarter; great-great granddaughter Adalynn Baker; and other loving extended family and friends.
Viewing will be Thursday 12-8pm. Services will be Friday 1:00pm at Southern Hills Baptist Church, on South Pennsylvania in Oklahoma City.
