Billie Margrett (Jones) Wooliver was born June 19, 1930 in Graham, TX to M. Curtis Jones and Flodell Jones (Helvey). She passed peacefully at home on July 29, 2022.
Billie was a proud graduated of Capitol Hill High School class of 1948 and spent many years working on reunion committees. Billie has two children, Janie and James, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She touched the lives of many children as an elementry school teacher at Prairie Queen in Oklahoma City for 30 years.
After retiring in 1992, she sang with the Sweet Adelines choral group and was an avid follower of the University of Oklahoma sports. Billie’s favorite holiday was Christmas with a huge collection of Hallmark ornaments. She has been known to leave Christmas decorations up year round because she enjoyed them so much. She also loved cooking and preparing special meals for friends and family as well as playing board games, cards, dominos and bingo. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ for many years.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Curtis and Flodell Jones; and Molly Wooliver.
Those left to continue her legacy include daughter, Jane Vowell, son James Wooliver and wife Treasa, grandchildren Jeanna Jordan, Melissa Agenbroad and husband Zach, and Matthew Wooliver, as well as great granddaughters Kasey Jordan and Allison Begley and sister Betty McCoy and nephew Mark McCoy.
Billie’s Celebration of Life ceremony will take place at 2:00pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Resthaven.
