Betty was a strong and loving hearted person who enjoyed being with family and friends and just enjoyed people in general. She had a very soft spot for children and animals and was always concerned that both had plenty to eat! Betty was previously a senior volunteer worker at Sunbeam Services, which she enjoyed so much. In earlier times, Betty loved to garden. She had beautiful plants and flowers growing which she seemed to have a green thumb for. Her daughter called her the “plant doctor” because she could revive plants that looked near hopeless. She enjoyed antiques and had a good eye for them. She also enjoyed bargain hunting at thrift stores and garage sales. She was a very hard worker all of her life in whatever she worked at. She loved to read and study and had a deep desire for knowledge. While she enjoyed reading many different sources of information on various subjects, her greatest interest and joy was in studying Gods word the Bible. There she learned of the wonderful hope for the earth and mankind. She learned that suffering and death would be done away with, that the earth will be a paradise and that there will be a ressurection of the dead back to life on earth. She was so overjoyed with these promises from the Bible, she just had to share them with people everywhere she went. Her love for her God Jehovah and his sure promises were there with her through very happy times and the saddest of times….right through the end. Until the ressurection Mom. You are so loved.
