Arnold Denton Cochran, 73, was born on May 5, 1949 to Henry and Lavada Ruth Cochran in Heavener, OK. Arnold passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on March 9, 2023 at his home.
In 1968, he married the love of his life, Debby Holloway, before embarking on a 50-year nursing career where he demonstrated a remarkable dedication to serving his community, our veterans, and our families. They were married for 54 years, blessed with four children and are the proud grandparents of their ten, beautiful grandchildren.
Arnold was a degreed musician and held a passion for multiple genres of music as well as the performing arts. He had a broad range of interests including Broadway theatre to fishing, hunting, and river “expeditions.” With his endearingly quirky attitude in tow, Arnold leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, close friendships, and scores of victims to his unique sense of humor. In his final days, Arnold extended a special thank you to Keith Kirkland, Chuck Smith and Victor Moyer for their unwavering spiritual support during that time.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Cochran; children, Arnold Jr. Cochran and wife, Cyndi, Amy Siler and husband, Mike, Heather Cochran, Dax Cochran; grandchildren, Melanie Mayo, Trey Cochran, Tammy Cochran, Tanner Cochran, Chase Siler, Will Hetherington, Denton Cochran, Chance Siler, Codi Cochran, Averi Cochran; mother, Lavada Ruth Cochran; mother-in-law, Wanda Holloway; sister, Ann Johns and husband, Johnnie; sisters-in-law, Sharon Kirkland and husband, Keith and Jo Cochran; brothers-in-law, Richard Holloway and Ron Patterson; “little brother,” Clay Potter; numerous friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Denton Cochran; father-in-law, Richard Arthur Holloway; brother, Daniel Lee Cochran; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Patterson.
Arnold’s life will be celebrated with funeral services at 10:00 am on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
