Tribute

Antonio Perez Rodriguez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on July 25, 2021, in Oklahoma City at the age of 81 years.

Antonio P. Rodriguez was born on June 13, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas. He was the son of Eugenio and Margarita P. Rodriguez.

Our Sweet Grandpa was always so well put together, never raised his voice, always had gum, a tissue, and just always so calm, trusting, and such a wonderful leader and example to all. He was a gentle soul, and this man ABSOLUTELY loved his family. Grandpa has always been there for so many. He would do anything for anyone, no questions asked. He was always so giving of his time and heart. I feel so thankful and so lucky to have known him in this life. I keep hearing in my mind and heart that when we take our last breath here on earth, our next one is immediately with Jesus. He was a man of God and I know God's got him set up good up there. Grandpa, I love you! We love you! You have done well and I know Jesus has told you WELL DONE. I know you are riding down the streets of gold in the most amazing El Comino ever made with the best golf clubs in heaven. You are free from age, illness, fear, sadness, pain, and suffering. You left a beautiful mark in our world and in so many others. Grandpa spent a lifetime with our strong and loving “Gee” Hope Rodriguez. I always look up to them and their marriage. Grandpa would lead Granny into rooms with his hand on her back, open doors, always make sure she was taken care, and just loved her! He loved to dance!! He was always leading a train of people at dance functions and just enjoyed having a great time.
These words just do not suffice the AMAZING, WONDERFUL, LOVING, KIND, GENTLEMEN, that he was.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugenio and Margarita Rodriguez; and his sister, Josephina.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Esperanza Rodriguez; and their children: Diana Taylor, Donna Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez and his wife Inga. eight grandchildren, Hope Marie Durbin and husband Matt, Michael Jimboy, Chester Cox and wife Brandy, Shyann Chilton, Shane Rodriguez, Toni Bowen and husband Jake, Kristopher Rodriguez and wife Mackenzie, and Bradley Rodriguez; fourteen great grandchildren, Baylie Marie, Jay Michael, Aaron, Meeko, Crue, Stormy, Willow, Aden, Anabelle, Aspen, Hayden, Gabriel, KJ, and Kamila.
