Anita Kathleen Pena

Anita Kathleen McRee Peña, 63, passed on to the higher life on January 29, 2021 after a tough battle with melanoma in Oklahoma City, OK.

Anita was born in Elk City, to Vernon James and Wanda Gene (Towns) McRee.

She attended Elk City High School, WTC, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from SWOSU. She established her home in the Elk City and Canute areas before moving to Oklahoma City in 2000.

Her memory will be cherished by, lifelong partner, Steve Collins of the Oklahoma City home; one brother Tim McRee of Elk City; 3 sons and 3 daughters, Dustin James Peña Shore and husband Brian of Tulsa, Joshalynn Maria Peña Sprinkle and husband Jason of Moore, Dillon Alexander Peña of West Hollywood, CA, Noah Simon Peña of Oklahoma City, Ivy Janeé Peña Modesto of Moore, Jade Ellen Peña of Norman; and 6 grandchildren, Jaylen, Braylen, Jurnee, Lynlee, Beckham and Remi and a host of extended family and friends.

A remembrance service for Anita will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home – 500 SW 104th St, OKC, OK 73139. For COVID-19 precautions Anita’s service will also be live-streamed online at https://www.resthavenokc.com The family welcomes donations to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma as an expression of remembrance.
