A. David Gonzales

Alejandro David Gonzales of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 22, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years.

David Gonzales was born on February 11, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Victor Franco and Lupey (Bustos) Gonzales. David was always wheeling and dealing for a better deal, whether it be cars, home repairs or food coupons. He loved all kinds of music, fishing and camping while in the boy scouts. He also enjoyed western and sci-fi movies, watching football and other sports, and tried badminton but only lasted five minutes. He loved cookouts; barbeques with grandpa’s recipe for potato salad, Chinese food, Mexican food and his most favorite was fried pork chops, fried chicken and fried potatoes.

He lived for over 20 years in San Diego and that was his favorite place to be and loved having the entire family to his studio on the beach in La Jolla. People would park their cars in the lot across from his house and watch the sunsets or come early and go surfing. He was the best at calling family day or night to check in on them, he would always call his siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and anyone else he could think of that would answer the phone.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his brother, Victor R. Gonzales and wife Vivian; two sisters, Maria Gonzales, and Lala Ramirez and husband Eddie; his nephews, Matt, Dan, Jeremy, Aron, Noah, Knightly, Darnell; his nieces, Kara, Maggie, Marley, Shawntea, Vicky, Lisa, and Sydney; great nephews and nieces, Ariana, Natalia, Xayla,Tristin, Shayton, Lyric, Kobe, Rylie, and twin boys on the way; one special cousin who was almost a brother, Marcos Bustos; and one other special family member, Nanny (Margaret Ardry)
