Adah Fontecchio
July 29, 1945 ~ November 29, 2022 (age 77) 77 Years Old
Be the first to offer your condolences on Adah's Tribute Wall
Adah Eliza Troll Fontecchio, daughter of Richard Duane Troll and Ruby Helen Lively, was born July 29, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She passed away on November 29, 2022. In 1963, Adah graduated from Southeast High School, then attended Central State College. In 1968, Adah married Ron Fontecchio who served the country in the Air Force. They traveled to many bases and different countries where he was stationed. During this time, Adah worked in the banking industry. In 1985, Adah moved back to Oklahoma City. She worked as a nurse’s assistant for 25 years in nursing homes and assisted living centers. She loved helping others in that position. In Adah’s youth, she was a member of Capitol Hill Christian Church; and in 1985, she joined Draper Park Christian Church. Her greatest joys in the church were singing in the choir and learning from the sermons of Rev. Jim Avery. In 2020, Adah’s health began to decline, so she became a resident of Brookwood Therapy and Skilled Nursing Center. Adah couldn’t attend Draper Park in-person, but watched a Church service on her TV. She enjoyed getting calls from members of Draper Park. She especially was blessed by calls from Rev. Jim Avery and his prayers for her. She loved family parties, especially birthdays, holidays, etc. Adah is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Carl and Leaudra (Troll) Bowlware, two nephews and their wives, Steve and Jerri Bowlware, Kevin and Traci Bowlware, five great nieces and nephews, Janeane and Ali Karbassi, Ben and Lacie Bowlware, Stephenie and Brandon Milligan, Sydney and Cody Pyle, Spencer Bowlware, and seven great-great-nieces and nephews. They were all the light of her life. A very special trait that Adah had was each night, before going to bed, she prayed for the church, her family, and the pets in the family. The most enduring memory of Adah will be that every time she talked to anyone, her last words were, “I love you.” Brother-in-law, Carl, recalls talking to her an hour and a half before she passed, and her last words were, “I Love You.” A very Christian individual who will be missed by all.
