Derek Rice

Derek Ray Rice, 37, of Moore suddenly passed away Thursday, December 2nd, 2021. Derek was born September 7th 1984 to Retha and Rocky Rice. He graduated from Westmoore High School 2004 although his heart lied with Southeast High School where he spent most of his high school years.  He had a great love for sports.  He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Thunder fan, he never missed a game. More than his love for sports his family and friends are what mattered to him most.  His mom and dad, to no secret, were his best friends. His nieces and bonus kids were his world along with his loving girlfriend. To no surprise he was a career comedian in his eyes, and we all thought so too.  He even kept that going as he struggled with his lifelong lung disease. Derek is survived by his mother Retha Rice, father Rocky Rice, Sister and Brother in Law Jamie and Chris Moody, nieces Hannah and Abigail, grand-mother Fritzie Rice, uncle Jay Rice and Aunt Cherry Werner as well as bonus family, Lauren, London and Maverick.
