Trula Poyner, 93, passed April 23, 2017 in Oklahoma City.  She was born June 13, 1923 in Eldorado, Oklahoma to Roy and Martha Ferrell.  She retired from the Oklahoma City Public Schools and was a long time member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. She is survived by her son Randall Poyner and wife Nanci; grandchildren:  Chris Poyner and wife Stephanie; Kim Smith and husband Stephen; and Mark Poyner; and by great-grandchildren Zoey and Luke Poyner. Trula was preceded in death by her husband Jim. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at The Chapel at Resthaven with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to The Baptist Children’s Home, 16301 S. Western, Oklahoma City, OK 73170.
