September 29, 2017 brought to a close 87 years of a life well lived for Lillian Irene Roland. She was born April 29, 1930 in Hannah, OK to Minnie and Taylor Bogle.
Irene loved gardening and spending time working in her flower beds. She was a big college football fan, cheering on both OU and OSU, and she loved following the Thunder. Irene enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. She liked to go shopping and browse the antique shops, and played a mean game of Skip-Bo.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Roland; four brothers and two sisters; daughter Janice Oltermann; and grandson, Michael Roland.
She is survived by her sons, Charles Roland and wife Janell, Alan Roland, and Terry Roland; brothers, Wayne Bogle and Pat Bogle; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and two on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Services to celebrate Irene’s life will be 11:00am Monday, October 2, 2017 in The Chapel at Resthaven with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
