After a 71 years of a life well lived Karen Sue “Susie” Reeves Hatfield went home to be with her Lord on May 30, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on September 20, 1945 in Marlow, OK to Gene T. Reeves and Elda L. (Fincher) Reeves. She attended Ardmore High School. Susie was primarily a homemaker taking care of her children and making sure that all their needs were met. Once her children were grown she took a job outside of the home and also taught private piano lessons. Susie was an avid reader, loved to write, very artistic, and was a great story teller. Susie is survived by her mother, Elda L. Reeves; children, Tammie Rose and husband Earl, Danny Gene Holt and wife Kellie, Tony Brian Holt and wife Connie, and Aaron Gilman Minnis and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Leah Rose, Eric Rose, Ryan Holt, Corey Holt, Heather Jones, Stephanie Holt, Trenton Holt, and Sophia Minnis; and twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Jane Reeves, and Ann Jones and husband Richard. She was preceded by her father Gene. Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at The Chapel at Resthaven with a private burial to take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
