I never had the opportunity to know John in person, but through meeting with the family & friends I know I would have liked Him & appreciated his manor & loved his heart. I will get to meet him in Heaven one day. He would have easily been liked, because he lived life but he loved the Lord & he loved reading his bible & shared verses with his neighbor. He would read his bible on his lunch hour. We could have shared verses we loved & why. We would have had some good, probably arguabl, confersations.

I'm going to miss you dearly even though I know we will meet again.I want you to know from the deepest depths of my heart that I love you so much.Im going to miss every walk to school,fishing trips,tears we shared,battles we fought, and crawdads we caught.lol I'm going to miss the days we were young and dumb.The nights we shared next to the barrel fire in the back yard before the fire department shut us down ๐
.There is not enough space or time for me to tell you all the things I will miss.My heart is heavy my brother.But I know this is not the end.But like I said before we will meet again.If you see Tom Petty have him teach you something besides puff the magic dragon on guitar.๐๐.

Jonathan Daniel, this is one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life. I love you. You're not just my friend, you're my brother and always will be. I will never forget you and the great times we've had. My favorite memory will always be that time we followed Jon because "he knew a shortcut" and we ended up spending an entire day lost on someone's land in Meeker during a thunderstorm. I cried the entire time I typed that and laughed just as hard, THAT is how I'll remember you. I hope you're having a wonderful time! Tell Popejoy Candy Appleseed said hey. I'll miss you bro. Many of you knew Jon, as an adult, but we knew as a child, and watch him mature into an adult. Some knew him and thought, he was limited. But we knew, his education level had been tested in the top 1% of the United States. He could have been anybody, he wanted to be. I think of Garth Brooks song, The Dance.
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
