Jesse Espinosa

July 14, 1936 ~ July 3, 2017 (age 80) 80 Years Old
After 80 years of a life well lived, Jesse Espinosa left his earthly home on July 3, 2017. He was born July 14, 1936 in Oklahoma City to Sebastiana Ysac Espinosa.

Jesse proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1954-1958 where he served in both Korea and Japan. From 1958-1980 he served in, and retired from, the United States Air Force where he received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his service during the Vietnam War. In 1977, Jesse and his family moved from Lackland Air Force Base in Texas to Moore, Oklahoma. He had a deep enthusiasm for history, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Family Development from the University of Oklahoma in 1985. He was also an active member of the VFW Post 1317 in Shawnee. On April 28, 2004 he married Kaylene Sue Espinosa.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Kaylene Sue Espinosa; children: Kathryn Espinosa and husband Mike, Larry Espinosa and wife Kim, Laura Espinosa Pence and husband Christopher, Staci Espinosa, Anastasia Espinosa Hernandez and husband Otto, and Isaac Espinosa; 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6 from 1pm-8pm. A funeral ceremony to celebrate Jesse’s life will be held 2pm Friday, July 7 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
