Hugh Blaise Ridgeway passed from this life March 16, 2017. He was born January 29, 1921 in Clark, MO to John “Mike” and Emma Ridgeway. Hugh grew up in Missouri and attended Business College there. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. On December 6, 1941, he married the love of his life, Elizabeth Mickey Schmitt Ridgeway. Together, the two enjoyed gardening, dancing, and playing games with their close friends. Hugh retired from Sherwin Williams as an area credit manager after many years of service.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Keneth Ridgway; grandchildren: Meredith Dan, Sarah Dan, and Paul Dan, Jr.; and son in law, Bill Berger.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: beloved wife of 75 years, Elizabeth Mickey Ridgeway; daughters: Carole Berger, Cathy Howard and husband Les, and Lisa Dan and husband Paul; grandchildren: Todd, Jeff, Greg, B.J., Christy, Bryan, Adam, Caleb, and Whitney; great grandchildren: Maggie, David, Justin, Rob, Sydney, Jessica, Cody, Tyler, Blake, Joey, Caleb, Courtney, Tim, Koby, Dylan, Aydan, Trevor, Brandt, and Riley; great-great grandchildren: Noah, Jeremiah, Aaden, Tesla, and Mia; sisters, Tresa Carpenter, and Joanie Dougherty and husband Jerry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear “Winter Texan” friends.

Viewing will be held Sunday from 12pm-8pm with family present to greet friends from 2-4pm. A celebration of Hugh’s life will be held 2pm Monday in the Chapel at Resthaven.
