Harlin “Mae” Bowling, 82, peacefully passed into eternity December 17, 2017 at home. She was born June 30, 1935 in Oklahoma City to Benjamin Harrison and Maude Mae (Williams) Morgan. Mae married the love of her life, Billy Ray Bowling on October 11, 1952 and together they had three children.

Mae enjoyed caring for her home and looking after her family. At the young age of 12, following her mother’s death, she cared for her younger siblings. Throughout her life, Mae continued caring for others within her own family and extended family. Her door was always open to family and her children’s friends for whatever they needed. Everyone was always welcome for a hot meal, words of encouragement, or just a visit. She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping on QVC and HSN, and especially cheering on the Thunder.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 57 years, Billy Ray Bowling; 10 brothers; 7 sisters; and mother in law, Bertie Lou Arterbury.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: children, Ronald Ray Bowling and wife Patricia Ann, Billy Don Bowling and wife Tama Lee, and Lori Mae Howry and husband John Louis; 10 grandchildren: Patricia Ann, Stacy Lee, Ronnie Ray, Samantha Lynn, Michael Shane, Aaron Ray, Zackry Logan, Alexis Camille, Aidan John, and Zoey Marie; 11 great grandchildren with one on the way; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and 2 sisters in law.
Services to celebrate Mae will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the Chapel at Resthaven with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
