Donald Dean Hilterbran, 90, passed from this life July 9, 2017. He was born October 1, 1926 in Cromwell, Oklahoma to Ernest L. and Minerva Hilterbran.

Don honorably served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during WWII. On October 29, 1948 he married Georgia Lee Patterson, and the two have been residents of south Oklahoma City over the past 70 years. Following his military service, Don was employed with the FAA as a propeller mechanic and retired after 35 years of service.

A devoted father, Don loved his children deeply and was actively involved in their activities while they grew up, including coaching little league baseball. He enjoyed traveling the country with Georgia, and fishing at Lake Eufaula with his family.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Danny Hilterbran who lost his life July 29, 1970 while serving in the Army during the Vietnam War; grandson: Michael Shane Vasquez; brothers, Freeman and Edwin Hilterbran; sisters, Joyce Willis and Letha Smiley; and nephews, Steven Willis and Jimmy Young.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: loving wife of 68 years, Georgia Hilterbran; sons, David Hilterbran and wife Rhonda, and Darryl Hilterbran; daughters, Donna Vasquez and husband Ben, and Dalita Albert; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Melba Wilhelm, Taleta Davis, and Myrna Phillips; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 12pm-8pm Tuesday, July 10. A graveside ceremony will be held 10am Wednesday, July 11 at Resthaven Memory Gardens
