After 88 years of a life well lived Cassie F. Jones went home to be with her Lord on December 17, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on July 14, 1929 in Howe, OK to Zollie T. James and Deenie C. (Nichols) James. Cassie graduated from Howe High School and then married Shade Jones on November 6, 1948. She enjoyed working in her garden, arranging flowers, taking care of her yard, but most of all she enjoyed cooking large meals and entertaining her family. Cassie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shade Jones; brothers, Cecil James, Tommy James, Archie James; sisters, Jewel James, and Leona Teel. She is survived by her children, Jimmy Jones of Oklahoma City, Janet Shinn and husband Terry of Yukon, and Jerry Jones and wife Linda of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Jerry Jones, Jr. and wife Jamie of Oklahoma City, Jeff Jones and wife Kristi of Oklahoma City, Travis Shinn of Yukon, and Tanner Shinn of Yukon; great grandchildren, Jensen, Jorden, Jillian, Jenna, Julia; sister, Lebrica Binns and husband Doug of Poteau, OK.; brother, Curtis James and wife Dorothy of Poteau, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family present to greet friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services to celebrate Cassie will be held 10:00 am Thursday, December 21, 2017 at The Chapel at Resthaven with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
